Dr Matt Hilton

Matt Hilton

My current research interests are galaxy formation and evolution, clusters of galaxies, and observational cosmology. I am a multi-wavelength astronomer, with expertise in the analysis of X-ray, optical, infrared, sub-millimetre, and millimetre wavelength data.

I have used these different windows to study a broad range of properties of clusters and galaxies, from star formation taking place in the galaxies themselves, to the evolution of the hot gas component within massive clusters. I am a member of the Atacama Cosmology Telescope and XMM Cluster Survey collaborations.
